Busy busy busy

Hi everyone!
Lately I've been so busy! I have school and work, and other social obligations like birthday parties and such.

BTW the crew-party I mentioned last time was blast! But since it was in the middle of the week it was royal pain in the ass to get up the next morning and go to school and then straight to work. I hope I don't have to do that again! ^^;

I think it's time to take a little break from the partying. My body just can't keep up with all the drinking and late night and early mornings and long days. I feel like I'm burning the candle from both ends.

There is one party I absolutely have to do and it doesn't even contain any alcohol. We are throwing my older sister a baby shower party!!

I can't believe I forgot to mention that I'm going to be an aunt twice over!! My big sister is pregnant again and this time they say it's a girl!! She is due somewhere between April and May! I can't wait!!

I have a problem concerning the baby shower though. We decided to have it on Valentine's day and I have work that day. (NOOOOO!!!)
That day was the only one that was OK to everyone else, and since most of the guests have kids of their own we can't really have the party too late so I wouldn't be able to attend since I'd get off at 9 pm and that would be too late!!

And not one of my coworkers is willing or able to trade or take shifts. I'm like;

Begging and pleading did not work. I even offered to buy them a beer and chocolates if somebody would just take that damn shift. But no. I was about to lose hope, but then one guy says he'd be willing to do it. There are minor problems with that but I've now sent an e-mail to our managers to ask if he could do it anyway, since all shift changes have to go through our managers. I hope it's okay.

I'm so busy at school and I have so much to do that I feel more than slightly overwhelmed. I have 4 exams next week and other projects and essays to write and do. I'm going to go insane!!

But now I have to get up and change and go to school.

New year and new grooves!

Oh my, I hadn't realized that it had been so long since my last post: ALMOST A YEAR! I'm sorry about that. Here's a short update about what has been going on with me and my life during the past year.

Well nothing too big has happened since my last post. I'm still working the same job and I'm still reading books and manga and watching anime. I've also been playing games a bit. But what is new is that last summer my little sister came home from the Netherlands where she had been studying as an exchange student for a year. It was a blast!! We were all ecstatic to have her home. She finally got to meet our two new cats Aka and Kuro.

Though there is a sad story there. Kuro died on the 1st of August from some unknown sickness. He got a really high fever and he was all listless and he didn't eat anything. We took him to the vet and they gave him some fluids and antibiotics and he seemed to be doing better so they sent him home for the night. He died in the morning on our couch.

I was absolutely heartbroken. I had to go to work that day and it was all I could do not to cry in front of the customers. It was a really rough day but I got it over and done with. I still miss Kuro a lot. His brother Aka was rather depressed for some time after his death but now he is doing fine, as are our older cat Kiri and our dog Rontti, who also took the death of Kuro rather heavily. I still miss him and I still tear up when I think about him.

But now something a bit more positive. I've started studying again! I'm going to Helmi Travel and Business college!! I'm on the business side and I'm doing dual education since I didn't finish my sixth form studies (or whatever you people call lukio), so I'm getting my A levels as well as my vocational qualification in business and administration. Cool huh!!!

I started in August and it has been pretty fun, though I had some adjusting to do when I realized that I was going to be at least five years older than my classmates. That really was a wake up call. They are so young I don't know what to do with them.

Now I'm going to sound like a damn kid, but I've made some friends with my classmates and I'm really relieved. Can you imagine studying for three years with kids five years your junior and not get along with any of them? That would be hell, I tell you. But luckily, as I said, I've made some friends and I like to think that I get along with all of them pretty well even though we are not at all close.

Ummm... what else? I've been writing a story and hopefully this one will actually start going somewhere and I'll be able to write more than a couple of pages. Well you never know. I guess this was it for now. I'll try to update more regularly and not have these over-long breaks in between. Oh well, it's not like anyone is actually reading this, so I guess it doesn't really matter.

I'll probably start posting snippets of my story here. Maybe the threat of someone actually reading my ramblings will motivate me to continue writing. one never knows.

Oh, by the way, there is going to be a crew-party for me and my coworkers for job well done on 28th of January, so it's just around the corner. I'm having a little panic attack about what to wear. ^^;

It'll be pain, though, to go to school the next morning since I have no doubt that drinking will be taking place and I'm easily swept along, uncaring of the consequences until too late. Oh well, what happens, happens. It'll be fun anyway.

But now I'm saying good night since I should have been in bed over three hours ago. School and work tomorrow so it'll be a very, very long day. Good night! ^^

Back again!!

So here I am again. It's been a while since I last wrote anything and I can't even remember everything that has happened between my last post and this one...

I've been busy with work and my sleeping rythm is really fucked up so I'm pretty out of it most of the time I'm home. I watched FMA Brotherhood by myself when it became apparent that my schedule just didn't fit with my sisters' scheduls. It just gets better and better everytime I watch it. My sister bought the whole manga as a set so I think I might even read it again soon. ^.^

Speaking of manga Naruto and One Piece are both very exiting at the moment though the chapters are too short and the reader is left hanging after every chapter thinking "This is it, this is really it!" (especially in Naruto) and the next chapter just makes one go through all that again. It's frustrating to say the least.

I've also bought a lot of manga lately. I've bought a couple of volumes of Hellsing and Hana Kimi and also the whole series of Bakuman! Yay!! :D

I've done a lot of reading too. I read Gin no Saji and other mangas and I've read a lot of Megan Derr's older books I've read many times already. Her new book came out yesterday (was it yesterday?) Come to Me  and I read it right away. It was a short sory about Sorin and Koray from Black Magic and I loved it! She also has another book coming out this month and I can't wait since I was too chicken to read it as a serial. ^.^;

Tomorrow is Valentine's day and I'm goign to a party. I have an appointment to a hairdresser for tomorrow and I bought a nice new dress as well (and some other stuff as well). I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself at the moment.

Don't know if I already wrote this but my shoes arrived and they were beautiful though a tad bit too big for me but that's easily fixed with few heel-liners and so on. ;)

Ummm what else... Oh yes, I'm seriously starting to think that I have a goddamn sing around my neck stating that "All big and creepy guys come and talk to me!". I feel like that everytime I go home from work some big foreing (I have absolutely nothing against foreing people) man comes to me and starts a converstation. They are so persistent I don't know how to make them leave me alone. It's a bit scary.

I'm sure I had many other things to say but my eyes are starting droop from sleepines and it is too early to go to bed just yet. Though I practically falling aseleep sitting up.

Babbling

So here's a quick little post.

Last night I read shoujo manga called Otomen. It was so cute and funny! I was laughing my ass off half of the time. I have to say that it's one of my favourite shoujo mangas ever. I usually prefer other genres over shoujo manga but this one has made it to the short list of  shoujo mangas I actually like.

And speaking of other genres and manga... One Piece chapter 736 is out and it was awesome just like always!! Thank you Oda-sensei!!! <3<3

I'm going out with my coworker to the nearby bar/nightclub for a drink. This time I don't intent to drink as much as last time. :P

Happenings

So I haven't written anything for a while since I've been busy with work and stuff, and I've been pretty exhausted because of it. But I'll try to cover the most important points, though there aren't many since my life is pretty simple.

I have again read a good book from one of my favourite authors and this time it was from Tinnean!! I'm going to talk about this book and the series as whole so there will be some spoilers! You are now warned! :P

The Start of a Beautiful Friendship (Spy vs. Spook 0.5)

 I was a bit reluctant to read this since it features Mark Vincent with someone other than Quinton Mann, and that made me a bit uncomfortable 'cause they are now very happy couple and I didn't want anything to interfere with that image. 

So, to say that I was a bit reluctant to read this book may have been a slight understatement but I did it anyway and I don't regret it. It was really nice to know a bit more about Mark's past. The story was sweet and even though Mark and Pete develope a bond of sort, the only one to ever make him lose all control is Quinn, and that just shows us that even though they both may have had some feelings for other people, they are ment to be together.

My little brother turned 19 on the 24th! I had evening shift that day and a morning shift the next day so I couldn't celebrate with him but I did get him to pick a gift he liked for himself (It was some game collection). 

Umm... What else has happened? Oh yes! I had ordered some jewellery online and they arrived!!

I am still waiting for the shoes I ordered. They were just too pretty and I had to have them. I can't wait!!

Right? RIGHT?! They are just too damn pretty!!! Though I am a bit concerned about the height. I don't know if I can keep upright with those on, but that doesn't matter. They are just too damn pretty. Yeah, I'm a bit of a shoe-freak but only a bit. 

And a quick rambling about anime and manga and stuff...

I've been watching anime lately with my sisters, FMA Brotherhood and Fruits Basket. We are also talking about starting Maison Ikkoku. Can't wait! Though as we all have school or work we can't watch them as much as I'd like to *sad*. And speaking of anime I've been reading a lot of manga lately. Mostly yaoi though. And I've been listening drama cds (BLCDs) quite a lot too. I just finished one and it was freaking hilarious!! ;DD I laughed so hard! Something funny happened too. A coworker of mine who also happens to be my third cousin told me that she had obtained a book about some strange yoga-ish thing and about how she was trying it out and how it actually helped her with her problems with her back. I think I was just nodding during the converstation and asked her to send me a link about the teachings of the book as a joke. Well this one day she actually lent me the book!! I read the first chapter and it was so corny and full of some "huusaa" stuff I couldn't take it seriously, but I think that I might still give it a try at some point since it's supposed to help with waking up and I'm having really hard time with that lately. But the fact that she remembered some odd converstation of which I had had no recollection of until she brought it up again. It was pretty funny.

Some stuff

And I'm back again!!

I had really good time at the party on last friday, even though the after effects the next day weren't too pleasant. ^^;

It's a shame that I didn't get to wear my contacts and the mask. Why? Because I was lazy and I ordered them online to be picked up from the store. I thought that would save me time from trying to hunt those items down in the shop, but at the day of the party my package hadn't arrived at the store so I had to do without. It wasn't bad though since no one had even tried to dress up so I was no different from anyone else. 

I do know when I'm going to wear them though!!  My friends are having a party on Valentine's Day and we are required to wear a mask of some sort or have mask like face painting on. I can't wait!!

And some more good news!

My sister and I had made a promise not to eat pizza for a month. Today one month has passed and I can eat pizza again!! Yay!

I also have had some kind of reader's block. I found it hard to read anything new like the real desire to read just was not there, which is scary since I love reading, though I have been listening to audiobooks from audible.

It seems like I have overcome my reader's block!! I just read two amazing books!!! They were both soooo good! Especially the second one blew me away! I loved it! Loved them both!

  Both by Megan Derr, one of my absolute favourite authors ever!!


I seriously recommend reading these books and anything from Megan Derr though I have to warn those unaware that these books contain homosexual content!!! If not your thing or you are underage then don't read.

FYI!!!  This is not me. Just a picture from the internet.

I'm going to a homewarming party tomorrow and the theme is cat. We are not actually expected to dress up as cats or anything, at most someone will draw whiskers on their faces and put on some cat ears. 

I'm just going to put on a cat mask and contact lenses and that's propably all I'm going to do, they'll be fairly easy to take off when we go to a bar afterwards. 

Though my contacts aren't cat eyes but snake eyes. I liked these better. :P

But back to the party. I just found something really funny and I thought it would be pretty damn hilarious to play this game tomorrow at the party when everbody are drunk. ;DD
